In your imagination?
There was magic in everything. Those worlds were yours alone to create.
But as we grow older, we’re often made to feel like daydreams and make-believe no longer matter.
Somewhere along the way, many of us stopped creating just for the sake of creating. We started worrying about whether we were good at it, productive enough, or doing it “right.”
When life feels loud and overwhelming, let yourself get lost in creativity, just like you used to. Not as another thing to perfect, but as a way to make space for yourself again.
You might be surprised by how grounded you feel afterward.
Creativity doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to feel true to you.
Fill a page in a notebook or journal with repeating patterns to quiet your mind. Don't overthink, just draw.
Look outside your window. What shapes or colors catch your eye? Let them inspire your next sketch or short poem.
Put on your favorite song and draw without lifting your pen until the song ends. Focus on the lyrics as you draw.
Free write whatever comes to mind. No pressure, no rules. Just let it flow.
Reconnecting with your childlike creativity is a beautiful way to become more present and show yourself some love.
And remember, no matter how messy or simple it feels, if it brings you peace, it’s worth doing.
